Topic: Love your Mac (and iDevice) and it will love you back

Join us this month as we cover three areas to keep you Apple products running and in loving shape. 

Backing up – Do you use Time Machine, iCloud or iTunes on a regular basis? Cloud based backups? We will discuss the 3-2-1 rule of backing up your data.
Maintenance – We will cover some basic software maintenance tips and cleaning of your computer to keep the dust bunnies away.
Hardware upgrades – We will cover keeping your older Mac healthy and running a little longer. We’ll discuss what upgrade options are available.

Happy New Year from Maui Apple Users Society! We thought we would start the new year with a topic of great interest.  Security for your Apple devices. As Apple products have become more popular, there has been an increase in adware, scamware, scareware and fake security pop-ups. Join us this month as we take a look at these tactics used, discuss and show how it happens, and how to protect yourself from these attacks. Topic: Hands-On with The New Apple TV

Join us this month as we take a look at the new Apple TV released by Apple. We will have an on hands demo and take a look at the new features it includes. Growing up, futuristic TV shows have always had home automation as the focal point of our sci-fi future. Apple has introduced technology called HomeKit that is moving us closer to that reality. Join us this month as we look at how software and hardware is automating us for the future. MAUS members will demonstrate how solar power and home energy can be managed and monitored via your Mac.
